Shopping Spree for Troubled Youth.

Yesterday, Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans, one of the best NFL wide receivers, had a little shopping to do. He hosted an annual  "Toys-R-Us Shopping Spree" for twelve at risk children. He told each kid they had 80 seconds to grab what ever they wanted of the shelf and he would purchase it for them. All of these children have suffered parental abuse and range from ages eight to sixteen. These children made sure to grab gifts for other siblings and family members. At the end of the day Johnson had a toy bill that came out to be about $19,000.

  1. You don't see that everyday. It's good to know that there are some nonselfish people in this world. What he did was very generous and thoughtful.

  2. That's really thoughtful for the kids. I'm glad they enjoyed the experience.
