Michigan Schools closing everywhere!

 


 There are dozens of schools all around Michigan closing down. Why you ask? Because of the end of the world and everyone is making threats to shoot up the schools they attend. In the Lapeer area the superintendent, Matt Wandrie, has discovered that all of these are because of the Mayan calendar prediction. There only taking precautions and relieving the students of school for the week. This is occurring all over even in states like Oklahoma.

A Whale of an Adoption!

 This past Tuesday a pretty rare occurrence happened. A mother whale that already has a whale of her own recently adopted a young orphaned whale. This young lonely calf was desperate for milk as he tried to drink from his new mom. At first she didn't nurse him but over time the two young whale calves bonded and are as healthy as ever. This is all occurring outside of the African shore lines.

Man Who Fell from Sky

It started out like any other day, a nice quite Sunday morning, until residents of a West London neighborhood found a body laying on the sidewalk near a convince store.
Police concluded that the man-probably already dead-had fallen from a jet that was flying over head and lowered its' landing gear. He had no identification papers, and is thought to be from Angolan. He is thought to be between the age of 20 and 30 years old. He most likely boarded a plane at Luanda, where airport security is very poor. 'He was wearing jeans, white sneakers and a gray sweatshirt when he was found on Sept. 9, police said.'
People who try to stow away on planes, often don't work out. "They so often end in fatality because more often than not stowaways climb into the wheel base or cargo hold, and those areas are not necessarily pressurized. When you start moving beyond 10,000 feet, oxygen starvation becomes a reality. As you climb up to altitude, the issue becomes cold as well, the temperature drops to minus 40 or minus 50 degrees centigrade, so survival rates drop."

Pot Brownies

 
 At the University of Colorado there were to recent arrests. Students Thomas Cunningham and Mary Essa were brought in on suspicion of second degree assault. These two students brought in brownies laced with marijuana causing a class of twelve to feel these effects. Most of these students claimed to be ill, they were brought to the hospital. All the students brought to the hospital were released because they were fine. University President Bruce Benson said this can hurt funding, even after last months legalization of small amounts of marijuana.

'World Oldest' Dies at Age 116.

The Worlds Oldest person died on Tuesday afternoon in Monroe, Georgia at the rightful age of 116. Besse Cooper, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon in her nursing house. '"It's a sad day for me," said Robert Young, Guinness senior consultant for gerontology. He recalls meeting Cooper when she was 111 and took note of her mental agility."At that age she was doing really well, she was able to read books."'
'She was born in Tennessee and moved to Georgia during World War I to look for work as a teacher.'

Shopping Spree for Troubled Youth.

Yesterday, Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans, one of the best NFL wide receivers, had a little shopping to do. He hosted an annual  "Toys-R-Us Shopping Spree" for twelve at risk children. He told each kid they had 80 seconds to grab what ever they wanted of the shelf and he would purchase it for them. All of these children have suffered parental abuse and range from ages eight to sixteen. These children made sure to grab gifts for other siblings and family members. At the end of the day Johnson had a toy bill that came out to be about $19,000.
